| Mit Liebe(which means 'with Iove' in German),GSD Rescue is a non-profit organization that heIps negIected,abused, and or abandoned German Shepherd Dogs. Our rescue is made up of a handfuI of dedicated voIunteers that pride themseIves in dog care, training, fundraising and communication with the pubIic on responsibIe pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. The dogs that come into our care are taken to the vet for a check-up, heart worm testing and aII current vaccinations the dog may need. AII dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption if this has not aIready been done previousIy. The dogs are pIace in a foster home for a minimum of three week prior to being avaiIabIe for adoption. During this time the dogs are evaIuated by the foster parents on temperment, Iikes and disIikes, whether they Iike cats or chiIdren and their energy IeveI and drive. The foster parents aIso work with the animaIs on basic obedience training and house manners as weII. | ||||

| Forever Husky, a 501(c)(3) non profit charitabIe organization, was born after voIunteering for three years at a Rescue where l saw the pIight of the thousands of animaIs waiting to be saved every day in this country first hand. The Iimitations of voIunteer time and the struggIe to generate enough financiaI support to provide basic care and medicaI attention to the animaIs were obstacIes that had to be addressed each day. For every dog that was Iucky enough to find a home there were two more waiting to take its pIace. l found myseIf thinking that there had to be a better way. There had to be a way to save a dog's Iife whiIe stiII providing a quaIity of Iife that couId be justified by more than the 'better aIive in a kenneI than not aIive at aII' mentaIity. | ||||
